Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Burnlist is fully functional without one — an account only exists to
sync your boards between devices, which is part of Burnlist Pro.
How do I sync between my Mac, iPhone, and iPad?
Unlock Burnlist Pro, then tap the person icon and create an account. Sign
in with the same account on each device and your boards stay in sync
automatically.
I bought Pro — how do I get it on my other device?
Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases on the other device
(signed into the same App Store account). Purchases also unlock
automatically on devices sharing your App Store account.
How do I back up my tasks?
Person icon → Data → Export Backup saves everything (sketches
included) as a single file. Import merges a backup back in — it
only ever adds or updates, never deletes.
How do I delete my account?
Person icon → Delete Account. This removes your account and all
synced data from our servers permanently. Tasks on your devices are kept.
Scribble capture isn't recognizing my handwriting well.
Recognition runs on-device and works best with the Apple Pencil writing at
a comfortable size. The sketch is always kept alongside the recognized
text, so nothing is lost — and we'd love a sample via email so we can make
it better.
