Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Burnlist app for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, made by Porcellus, Inc. By using Burnlist you agree to them. They're short — please do read them.
The app
Burnlist is licensed to you, not sold, for personal use on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's standard licensed application terms. The core app is free; Burnlist Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks sync and unlimited workspaces.
Purchases
Burnlist Pro is sold through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's payment and refund policies — refund requests go through Apple. A single purchase unlocks Pro on all Apple devices signed into the same App Store account.
Your content
Everything you put into Burnlist — tasks, boards, sketches — is yours. If you use sync, you grant us permission to store and transmit that content solely to provide the sync service. We claim no other rights to it. You're responsible for what you store; don't use the service to store content that's unlawful or that infringes others' rights.
The sync service
Sync depends on third-party infrastructure and an internet connection, so we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Your data always remains locally on your devices, and you can export a full backup at any time. If we ever need to discontinue the sync service, we'll give reasonable notice so you can confirm your data is safe on-device.
Accounts
Keep your password safe — we can't see it and can only offer the built-in reset flow. You can delete your account (and all synced data) at any time from within the app. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Warranty & liability
Burnlist is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Porcellus, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of your place of residence that cannot be limited by contract.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
